ARTIST STATEMENT
Like most, I began as a child dreaming of a future doing what I loved most. I wanted to be an artist, never anything else. In the early 1970's I attended 2 years of art school in Boston, MA. But like many, becoming a wife and mother sidetracked my goal of becoming a successful artist.
Once more, art became just dream, so much a dream that it drifted into an illusion where I didn’t dare to even pick up a pencil. Drawing and painting were not part of my life for over 20 years. I didn't consider myself an artist.
In 1995 I started a healing journey with a wonderful teacher. She taught me how to express my emotions on paper, in a form of art I had never experienced. Not art in the formal sense as I had been trained, but in a more expressive, free style. I was shown freedom, joy and creativeness in a healing manner. She started me on a journey to the essence of my soul.
My art reflects my spiritual connection to nature and the universe. This shows in the organic nature to my work. The vibrance of color illustrates the surge of energy I receive from my inner creative spirit as I work. I feel gifted to be able to create, expressing myself and my connection to the universe, as I develop my dream of being an artist.

I was commissioned, along with fellow artist Adele Conte, to paint a 23’ x 12’ expressive mural at “All That Matters.” I've also created artwork for private residences as well as commercial logos for area companies.
A few years ago I started marketing my own line of cards and prints using my artwork. In 2008 I added a line of sterling silver and gemstone jewelry, where I design and create each piece as a work of art.
