Artist's Statement & Bio:
"I was born in 1949 in New York City and now live in Portsmouth, Rhode Island on an island about the size of Manhattan. I've lived by the ocean for most of my life and enjoy listening to the waves and collecting beach stones. My studio is next door to my house. I have two children and three parrots. My daughter's artwork has inspired many of my sculptures.
Working in metal has always appealed to me as I'm attracted to the different skills and processes involved. I've been creating sculptures since I was seventeen and have exhibited in at the DeBlois Gallery, Newport, RI; the Warren Art Festival, Wickford Art Festival, and the Convergence Festival. I am an active member of the Portsmouth Arts Guild. My work is in private collections in Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island."
